South Thames Colleges Group is seeking a hard-working Sessional Lecturer to join our Teacher Education team in London. You will deliver the Level 3 Award in Education and Training (AET) and support learners to achieve their professional goals.

The role involves planning, preparing and assessing learning activities, ensuring alignment with awarding body requirements, and monitoring progress. Flexible evening hours may apply with variable teaching demand.

Qualifikationen

• Degree or relevant professional qualification.
• A recognised teaching qualification such as a PGCE, Cert Ed, DET or equivalent.
• Experience teaching within Further Education, Adult Education or Work-Based Learning.
• Experience delivering Level 3 Award in Education and Training (AET) or DET programmes.
• Excellent communication, organisational and interpersonal skills.

Provisional Teaching Time: Mondays 6:00-8:45pm (10 weeks) from 27th April 2027

We’re looking for a hard-working, collaborative and enthusiastic Sessional Lecturer to join our Teacher Education team at South Thames College, helping our students to progress, achieve and reach their full potential.

You’ll deliver the Level 3 Award in Education and Training (AET), providing high-quality teaching, learning and assessment to aspiring teachers, trainers and assessors. You’ll support learners to develop the knowledge, skills and confidence they need to teach successfully within the Further Education and Skills sector.

As part of the role, you’ll plan, prepare and assess engaging learning activities in line with awarding body requirements, monitor learner progress and put appropriate support strategies in place to help students succeed.

To be successful, you’ll hold a degree or relevant professional qualification, alongside a recognised teaching qualification such as a PGCE, Cert Ed, DET or equivalent. You’ll have experience of teaching within Further Education, Adult Education or Work-Based Learning, as well as experience delivering Level 3 Award in Education and Training (AET) or DET programmes. You’ll also bring excellent communication, organisational and interpersonal skills.
