Support Workers in the Norfolk area needed to join our Independent Living team. Casual (sessional) hours for those who like to work flexibly. \u00A312.21 per hour

If you would like to join TeamRAD – delivering invaluable one-to-one and group support to deaf people, in their first language, usually British Sign Language (BSL) or via specialist communication systems, please get in touch! Our Independent Living team provides person-centred support so that deaf and deafblind people (including those who have additional support needs, e.g., a learning disability or mental health challenge) can develop the skills needed to live independently.

Roles and Status

Permanent roles attract life assurance benefit, generous pension and 30 days annual leave (FTE).

Sessional Details

The sessional opportunity is flexible work, and colleagues can choose support sessions from those offered. Many sessional colleagues develop their skills and gain valuable experience before eventually becoming permanent (when vacancies arise). Sessional colleagues are not permanent employees. There is no guarantee of work and days/hours can vary depending on the needs of the charity.

Requirements to apply
  • Have adequate Deafblind communication experience.
  • Be a car owner/driver.
  • British Sign Language (BSL) Level 1 is essential for this role, Level 2 is desirable. Where required we will offer this training as part of the role.
