We are looking for a bold, visionary Innovation Lead to reinvent the tools, processes, and digital experiences that power our Services business. Your mission: transform our sales tools, processes, and methodologies so we qualify better, respond faster, win more, and deliver a modern, AI‑enabled experience for our customers and sales teams. In this role, you will be the architect of a smarter, more streamlined sales cycle introducing automation, predictive insights, new go‑to‑market approaches, and repeatable sales frameworks that elevate our competitive edge. You'll partner with sales leadership, presales, marketing, operations, product teams, and executives to bring fresh thinking and implement high‑impact change. This role will lead our customer insight specialists and services business development team.
Strategic Deliverables
1. Transform the End‑to‑End Services Sales Cycle
- Redesign how we qualify, shape, propose, and close services opportunities to go beyond our eligible base.
- Map friction points across the sales journey and reinvent workflows for efficiency and impact.
- Standardise winning practices into repeatable playbooks, templates, and methodologies.
2. Modernise Sales Tools & Technologies
Lead a business development and customer insights team to:
- Evaluate and introduce AI‑powered tools to accelerate research, qualification, bid creation, and proposal quality.
- Improve integration and usability of CRM, CPQ, and presales tooling.
- Implement automation to reduce administrative work and increase customer‑facing time.
3. Redesign Business Development
Lead a team of six business development and customer insight specialists to:
- Develop and foster a strong pipeline; balancing customer retention with long‑term expansion.
- Lead on market insights and customer challenges building campaigns to address.
- Build stronger customer advocacy and intimacy programs.
4. Accelerate Presales Excellence
- Build new frameworks to enhance bid quality, speed, and decisiveness.
- Introduce best practices for early opportunity shaping and win strategy creation.
- Partner with solution architects to design more scalable, modular service offerings.
5. Drive AI, Automation & Data Innovation for Sales
- Lead adoption of generative AI for prospecting, discovery, customer research, and proposal development.
- Introduce data‑driven insights that help sales leaders prioritise opportunities and allocate resources.
- Pilot and scale automation that streamlines handoffs, approvals, and deal governance.
6. Build and Lead a High‑Impact Sales Transformation Roadmap
- Collaborate with Sales Director to execute multi‑year plan focused on productivity, speed, consistency, and customer experience.
- Run design sprints, idea labs, and cross‑functional workshops to identify and validate opportunities.
- Gain organisational buy‑in and communicate progress to stakeholders at all levels.
Qualifications
- Experience in services sales, presales, sales operations, sales excellence, or go‑to‑market transformation within an IT or tech environment.
- Strong understanding of the services sales lifecycle – from qualification to contracting.
- Proven ability to lead cross‑functional change and implement new processes or tooling.
- Passion for AI, automation, and modern sales technologies.
- Strong communication and facilitation skills; able to influence senior stakeholders.
- Data‑driven mindset with the ability to turn insights into strategy and action.
Desirable
- Familiarity with sales methodologies (MEDDIC, Solution Selling, Challenger, etc.).
- Experience redesigning CRM or CPQ workflows.
- Knowledge of LLM‑based productivity tools and enterprise automation platforms.
- Ability to simplify complexity and turn ideas into executable, repeatable frameworks.
