Job Description: Optima Machinery UK PLC

Responsibilities

• Install and maintain high‑quality industrial filling and packaging machines imported from Germany at customer sites in the UK, ensuring installation and commissioning meet manufacturer specifications.
• Operate and troubleshoot machinery to diagnose malfunctions, consulting the supplier's technical help desk via phone or online, and resolving issues as necessary.
• Perform regular maintenance on delivered machines, providing support and communication with customers’ factory engineers and machine operators.
• Propose required maintenance services and spare parts to customers to ensure optimal machine performance.
• Study and review machine manuals and specifications, delivering training to customers, engineers, and other interested parties to ensure understanding.

Qualifications

• A degree in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering or related field.
• Minimum of 5 years’ experience in service engineering or maintenance roles in the UK, with a long‑term commitment to the company.
• Industry experience, ideally in the packaging or automotive sectors, with a strong mechanical engineering background.
• Ability to work independently or as part of a team with excellent self‑organisational skills.
• Ability to work under pressure, with a hands‑on approach to problem‑solving and aftercare of machinery.
