Job summary

Webrecruit is seeking a motivated Vehicle Technician to join our automotive service team in a busy retail centre. You will service light vehicles and carry out repairs and servicing to a trained level after training, while upholding safety and quality standards.

You will work well alone or as part of a small team, with pride in completing tasks to a high standard, with hours discussed at interview. Training opportunities available and career progression within the Company.

Qualifications

• Candidate must be flexible and able to manage own workload.
• Excellent communication skills essential for customer service.
• Proven experience in a busy retail automotive environment.

Responsibilities

• Fit products to customer vehicles and perform ancillary services.
• Carry out repairs and servicing to trained level after training.
• Help increase sales of products and services offered by the Company.
• Maintain cleanliness of the Centre and equipment.
• Adhere to Management instructions and company policies.

Hours

The Company's normal opening times are Monday to Friday 8.30am to 6.00pm, Saturday 8.30am hours to5.00pm hours and Sunday 10.00am to 4.00pm. Working hours to be discussed at interview

The Candidate

The ideal candidate will have a flexible approach to tasks and be able to manage their own workload, be an excellent communicator with proven experience of working in a busy retail environment in an automotive setting.
The main objective of the role will be to service light vehicles in a safe and efficient manner.
The successful candidate will be part of a small team, but should be equally happy working on their own and should take a great degree of pride in carrying out tasks to an extremely high standard.

Job Responsibilities

• To fit any product specified by the Company to customer vehicles and carry out a range of ancillary services to customer vehicles
• To carry out repairs & servicing to a trained level on light vehicles after successful completion of training
• To increase sales of products and services offered by the Company, in accordance with procedures
• To maintain the cleanliness of the Centre and its equipment on an ongoing basis
• To comply with reasonable instructions from Management
• To adhere to the Company's Policy & Procedures
• The company will supply you with uniform, it must be clean and presentable at all times
• To be available for work at the times specified by the Company
