Service Technician (Commissioning / Installation / Maintenance)

A GBP 42,000 to A GBP 45,000 Base Salary DOE + Overseas Travel Bonus (from 25 Per Day) + Contributory Pension + 25 Days Holiday + Group Life Assurance (5x Salary) + Income Protection + Private Medical Insurance

37 Hours Per Week: Week 1 Monday to Friday, Week 2 Monday to Thursday: Every Second Friday Off

Service Technician required for an industry-leading supplier of manufacturing machinery with a reputation for global excellence. This is a great opportunity to join a company with a worldwide presence committed to staff development. You will be based at a new, purpose-built facility and will have excellent earning opportunities and international travel.

Candidates should be mechanically biased engineers, apprenticeship-trained or equivalent, with a clear understanding of pneumatics and basic electrics. Experience working on automated machinery from any industry background is preferred.

The successful Service Technician will primarily work at the company's site in Gloucester, supporting the assembly and building of machinery. Responsibilities include final testing and inspections to ensure high-quality standards, followed by dismantling machinery for shipment to customer sites for reassembly.

You can expect to spend 80 to 150 days per year at customer sites, with stays of up to three weeks. Responsibilities include rebuilding, installing, commissioning, and modifying equipment, resolving issues, and supporting operator training. Good communication skills are essential.
