Your role

Are you passionate about asset inventory management? Do you want to do contribute to the development and evolution of the strategic Discovery of assets using creative tooling and market leading products like Service Now Discovery? Are you motivated to work in a complex, global environment where ideas are valued, and effort is appreciated? We are looking for an Analyst/Developer to join our team and help us to:

  • Technically analyze requirements to help define technical specifications and solutions.
  • Configure, develop, maintain, and support the Hardware/Software Discovery area.
  • Work effectively within a scrum team and focus on delivery of sprint goals.
  • Develop using best practices and standards; deliver customer requirements leveraging the Service Now products and custom solutions, write code with performance in mind and drive automation wherever possible.
  • Propose alternative solutions to a problem whilst working collaboratively with other team members.
  • Design and develop solutions with self‑service in mind.
Your team

You’ll be working in the TIDRS Integration Engineering crew in London, a part of the wider Technology Inventories Data & Reporting Services steam. You’ll work along‑side 400 colleagues globally. TIDRS offers a best‑in‑class and cost‑effective Service Management Technology, IT Asset Management, and Data Platform Service for the global bank.

The SIERRA pod is responsible for the ongoing support and roadmap delivery for the strategic Service Now discovery and is a significant component in the Bank’s ServiceNow journey. Your expertise
  • Service Now knowledge
  • Hands‑on ServiceNow configuration, development, and integration experience, with a proven track record of implementing solutions in the ServiceNow Discovery or CMDB components including:
  • MID Server configuration.
  • Experience integrating ServiceNow with third‑party tools or custom systems: Implementation of Service Graph Connectors & Integration Hub.
  • Customizing probes and sensors to collect specific data.
  • Extending patterns to enrich discovery collections.
  • Debugging and optimization of probe and sensor workflows.
  • Custom Application development.
  • Strong JavaScript skills for creating Business Rules, Script Includes and Client Scripts.
  • Infrastructure Knowledge: understanding of different Operating Systems, networking , connectivity, and architecture.
  • General Development: experience in one or more scripting, programming languages; working knowledge of GitLab or other version control systems; good technical writing and documentation skill.
