Job description

We are seeking an experienced Service Manager to lead and develop our field‑based security engineering team. This role is ideal for a hands‑on technical professional with strong leadership skills and expertise across CCTV, Access Control, Intruder, Intercom and related security systems, the role is covering London & the Home counties with the office to the West of London.

About the Role

You will oversee daily engineering operations, support the Service Desk, and ensure exceptional service delivery to our customers. The role combines people management, technical problem‑solving, customer engagement and Health & Safety compliance.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead, coach and mentor a team of security engineers.
  • Conduct performance reviews and support training needs.
  • Ensure Health & Safety compliance, including RAMS preparation.
  • Provide expert support in servicing, fault‑finding and commissioning of electronic security systems.
  • Assist with network‑based systems including fibre optic, LAN/WAN and telemetry technologies.
  • Act as a point of contact for key customers and attend customer meetings.
  • Provide occasional out‑of‑hours support.
  • Support internal processes such as stock control, order handling and job closing.
About You
  • NVQ Level 3 in Electronic Security or equivalent experience.
  • IOSH Managing Safely (or similar H&S qualification).
  • Strong technical skills across CCTV, Access Control, Intercom and Intruder systems.
  • Knowledge of digital electronics, TCP/IP networking, UFE’s and Windows OS.
  • Well‑organised, self‑disciplined and customer focused.
  • Effective communicator with strong teamwork and leadership skills.
  • Able to solve problems under pressure and guide others effectively.
  • Keen to stay updated with new technologies and industry trends.
