Job summary

A luxurious resort is seeking a Service Manager - Duty Manager to oversee procurement functions, ensure timely deliveries, and manage vendor profiles. Candidates should have a diploma or degree, at least 2 years of experience in a relevant field, and strong negotiation and communication skills. This position is open to Malaysian citizens and Permanent Residents only.

We are looking for a Service Manager -Duty Manager to join our team!

Responsibilities

As our Service Manager - Duty Manager, we will rely on you to:

  • Ensure an efficient filling system to obtain result on procurement functions.
  • Ensure that goods being ordered are delivered on time and in good quality.
  • Interact closely with operating equipment and other F&B supplier.
  • Consolidate food products for better price negotiation and contracts.
  • Source quotations from suppliers to ensure purchases are made in the best interest of the company.
  • Process assigned PR’s.
  • Performs market survey, including competitor hotels and make comparison with current suppliers prices to ensure competitiveness.
  • Maintain & regularly update vendor profile files to comply with the Shangri-La requirements.
  • Prepare weekly/monthly reports.
Qualifications
  • Diploma, Degree or any relevant certification in the field.
  • Preferably with at least 2 years work experience in Procurement/Sourcing from any business industry.
  • Has good communication and people management skills.
  • Communicates and writes with fluency in English (as well as the local language).
  • Has strong organizational skills with ability to multi-task.
  • Able to communicate priorities and drives business results.
  • Demonstrate high level of integrity and honesty.
  • Smart with pleasing personality. Has good negotiation skills.
  • A self-starter and customer-oriented.
  • Is a friendly, helpful and trustworthy leader
  • Is a strong team player
  • Displays initiative, commitment to professional values.
  • Is a critical thinker and a problem-solver.
  • Is knowledgeable in any Procurement System (i.e. SCM, SAP, etc.).
  • Is proficient in Microsoft office applications (Excel, Word, PowerPoint).
  • Due to work permit restrictions, only citizens of Malaysia and Permanent Residents of Malaysia shall be considered.
