Job description

PGG Wrightson Water has over 30 years of experience in the design, construction and maintenance of irrigation systems throughout New Zealand. We have an exciting opportunity for a full time Service Manager to lead our service team in Ashburton.

In this role you will be a central point of contact, control and coordination for both clients and employees for irrigation servicing throughout the region and beyond. You'll work closely with your branch Foreman (role currently under recruitment) offering support and guidance around workflow prioritisation and excellent client experience.

You'll be practically minded, with well-developed relationship management and leadership skills. You'll enjoy being out visiting customers and have the ability to build rapport to achieve strong customer relationships. Previous roles will have honed your forward-thinking skills, and you will have enjoyed investigating and solving problems at pace, both in the office and on site ideally within the Irrigation & Water industry.

You will be at ease developing service relationships with existing and new clients, contributing to the strategic direction for the region and leading and training your team. You'll also be prepared to get on the tools to help the team truly understand the product we service and represent.

Key Skills & Experience:

  • Service management with a strongability to prioritise and manage multiple deadlines
  • Implementation ofMaintenance Best Practise, Lean and Continuous Improvement Programs
  • Strong people leadership, coaching and mentoringcapability
  • Experience in servicing irrigators and pumps with knowledge of the irrigation, agricultural and/or horticultural sectors preferable.
  • Ability to analyse P&L reports and make recommendations on how to maximise returns.
  • Identify and pursue growth opportunities in the marketplace.

This is a senior role within our business, reporting directly to the National Water Manager and sitting on the Water Leadership team; the successful applicant will have a unique blend of being practically minded coupled with strong business acumen, and have the ability to influence the future direction of the business.
