This role is responsible for the successful operational delivery of the elective waiting list and relevant paediatrics services to a high standard of patient and clinical satisfaction.
Service Manager - Gastroenterology/Endoscopy/D&E and renal/Community diabetes - Band 7
- Support governance arrangements within the directorate (audit, complaints, incidents, risk and health and safety).
- Manage administrative and support teams within the service/directorate.
- Deliver appraisal and mandatory training requirements for all staff.
- Lead the directorate performance management systems ensuring Trust and monitor standards are understood and adhered to and that performance reports are produced to enable divisional compliance.
- Co‑ordinate mobilisation and implementation of new services and optimal use of operational teams.

Qualifications and Experience
- Minimum degree level or above in relevant subject.
- Management or leadership qualification or equivalent experience.
- Proven experience of leadership in health or social care services.
- Experience of HR functions: sickness management and appraisals.
- IT skills: advanced Excel and familiarity with MS Office and health care data systems.
- Experience with formal complaints in the healthcare sector.
Knowledge
- Working knowledge of NHS health and social care system, policies, procedures and legislation.
- Demonstrate knowledge of managing services in NHS and implementing improvements.
- Understanding current challenges in NHS and knowledge of services in the JD.
