Band J SCP 48 – 51 (£60,194 - £63,832 per annum) dependent on experience

We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Service Manager to lead the implementation of the national reforms in children’s social care, with a specific focus on Family Help. This is a pivotal role in shaping and delivering early intervention services that strengthen families and improve outcomes for children and young people.
You will play a key leadership role in driving forward our transformation agenda, working collaboratively with partners across the system to embed a new model of support that aligns with the national direction of travel.
We are looking for a confident and knowledgeable leader who is passionate about improving outcomes for children and families. You do not need to hold a social work qualification, but you must be able to demonstrate:
We are looking for a highly skilled and experienced Service Manager to lead on Multi‑Agency Child Protection as part of the implementation of the national reforms in children’s social care. This is a critical leadership role focused on strengthening statutory social work practice and improving outcomes for children at risk of significant harm.
You will be responsible for driving forward a multi‑agency approach to child protection, ensuring that services are responsive, evidence‑informed, and aligned with national reform priorities.
This role requires a confident and knowledgeable leader with a deep understanding of statutory children’s social work. You must hold a recognised social work qualification and be registered with the relevant professional body.
