Job description
Overview

We are looking for an innovative and dynamic Service Manager to lead Warwickshire's approach to Early Support and Domestic Abuse services.

This is a key leadership role where you will:

  • Shape and develop inclusive services that are already recognised for their creativity and impact.
  • Build strong partnerships to deliver integrated, high-quality support for families.
  • Champion Warwickshire's restorative and trauma‑informed practice approach, ensuring services work with families to achieve sustainable change.

If you thrive on collaboration, innovation, and leading ambitious services to support children and families, we want to hear from you.

About the Team

Warwickshire Children's Services is ambitious and forward‑thinking. Our Early Support service works closely with schools, health, police, and voluntary organisations to provide joined‑up support for families at the earliest opportunity.

Portfolio
  • Early Support teams: Support a range of partner agencies to deliver community‑led and targeted Early Support and a community family support offer.
  • Integrated Domestic Abuse Service: Offering specialist help and support to children and families impacted by domestic abuse.
  • Different Futures: Supports birth parents who can no longer care for their child due to adoption or kinship care. The two‑year programme (with optional aftercare) helps reduce risks, improve circumstances, and prepare parents for any future children.
Qualifications
  • Relevant professional qualification (e.g., social work, education, early years, probation) or extensive experience in a child and family setting.
  • Proven leadership experience in multi‑agency children's services, with a track record of delivering outcomes.
  • Strong knowledge of Early Support/Early Help, safeguarding, and statutory frameworks, with the ability to embed restorative and trauma‑informed practice.
  • Ability to travel across Warwickshire to attend meetings and visit services (reasonable adjustments will be considered).
  • Fluency Duty: Required to speak and provide advice in accurate spoken English to the public.
