Qualifications

  • Full UK driving licence and ability to pass a CRB check.
  • Fluent in English; additional languages are a plus.

Service Maintenance Engineer - UK & Ireland

Location: Milton Keynes (with extensive travel across UK & Ireland, occasional travel to mainland Europe) Full-time | Field-based | Permanent

What You\'ll Be Doing
  • Perform on-site planned and reactive maintenance, troubleshooting, and repairs of battery monitoring systems.
  • Lead installations and commissioning of battery monitoring equipment, ensuring safety and quality compliance.
  • Manage maintenance schedules and identify opportunities for system upgrades and process improvements.
  • Collaborate with internal teams to resolve technical issues and contribute to continuous improvement.
  • Train customers on equipment usage and safety protocols.
  • Maintain detailed records of service activities, inventory, and equipment logs.
  • Support project-based work, offering technical insight and problem-solving expertise.
What You\'ll Bring
  • 3-5 years of experience in electrical maintenance, ideally within critical facilities, data centres, or UPS/battery environments.
  • Strong knowledge of DC power systems and standby battery infrastructure.
  • Proven ability to diagnose and resolve technical issues under pressure.
  • Familiarity with health & safety regulations and environmental compliance.
  • Electrical engineering background with relevant certifications (ECS/CSCS card, BPSS/SC/DV clearance).
  • Full UK driving licence and ability to pass a CRB check.
  • Fluent in English; additional languages are a plus.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
Travel & Location

Based out of Milton Keynes office. Up to 95% travel across UK and Ireland with frequent overnight stays. Occasional travel to mainland Europe.
