A healthcare provider in the UK seeks a Service Improvement Officer to enhance operations within their GP practices. This role involves leading service improvement initiatives, managing data quality, and supporting team training in a collaborative environment. Candidates should possess experience in primary care and leadership abilities. Training will be provided for newcomers. Benefits include a competitive salary, generous leave, and a supportive workplace culture.
Have you worked in general practice for a while and know the day‑to‑day inside out? Are you the go‑to person when something needs improving or organising, but not sure where that experience could take you next? If so, this could be the perfect step forward.
We’re looking for a Service Improvement Officer to join our friendly, forward‑thinking team at the Welby Groups central Hub in Bottesford. This role is ideal for someone who has played a part in service improvements, led small projects, or naturally takes the reins when something needs fixing or delivering.
Working in our bright, modern converted church office, you’ll help us drive positive change across our practices. From improving how services run to supporting staff training and systems development, your insight and coordination will make a difference. One day a week, you’ll also support research activities to help us progress to Level 3 accreditation. Don’t worry if this is new to you – we will offer training and guidance.
You’ll also take ownership of key administrative and data‑quality tasks, supporting QOF activity and using your SystmOne knowledge to maintain data quality, resolve issues, streamline workflows, and assist teams with system‑related tasks and training needs.
We’re a supportive, collaborative team offering flexible working, a great environment, and plenty of professional development.
The Welby Group runs four GP practices across Lincolnshire, serving over 35,000 patients.
We’re known for being forward‑thinking and committed to doing things differently to improve care. We value people who bring enthusiasm, creativity, and a can‑do attitude.
Opportunity, Enthusiasm, Support, Innovation, Family, and Balance. If you’re looking for a place where you’ll be supported to grow and encouraged to try new things, we would love to hear from you.
If this sounds like your kind of challenge, please send us your CV and a brief cover letter explaining your relevant experience and why you’d be a great fit. You can apply via the button or email Cheila at hr@welbyhealth.co.uk if you have any questions.
