Overview

Are you an experienced Field Service Engineer or Maintenance Engineer who values work-life balance as much as career progression? BASIC SALARY: £40,000 - £45,000

LOCATION: Homebased covering the UK. Ideally located within 1 hour of Nottingham along the M1 corridor.

Responsibilities

• Installation, commissioning, service, and repair of high-quality packaging machinery across customer sites in the UK.
• Managing your own schedule, typically 2-3 days a week on-site, with the remainder working from home or the office.
• Minimal travel - averaging just one overnight stay per week and very occasional weekend work (once or twice a year).
• Joining a close-knit UK team with full technical support and access to European OEM training.

Requirements / Qualifications

• A solid track record as a Field Service Engineer or Factory Maintenance Engineer, ideally in capital equipment or packaging machinery.
• A recognised electrical and/or electronic engineering qualification, ideally backed by a full apprenticeship.
• Hands-on fault-finding skills with a proactive, customer-focused attitude.
• The ability to work independently, manage your time, and represent a premium European brand professionally.
• Experience with packaging, printing, or process machinery will be a distinct advantage.
