Overview

SERVICE ENGINEER REQUIRED IN TELFORD, SHROPSHIRE!!

Are you a Mechanically Biased Service Engineer, or a Mechanical Engineer seeking a new job out on the road predominantly covering the South of the UK?

We are actively seeking a Service Engineer to join a well-established engineering business based in Telford, Shropshire. The standard working hours are day shifts Monday to Friday (37.5 hours per week). The basic salary will be around £35,000 per annum, with overtime opportunities available and paid at T1/2 for anything worked over 37.5 hours in the week and on a Saturday, and double time on a Sunday. If a Bank Holiday is required you will also receive double pay for working this day plus a day back in lieu.

Although the hiring manager is looking for someone who is predominantly mechanically biased (90% Mechanical), they would like someone who has some Electrical experience. We are looking for someone who holds a certificate/qualification in Mechanical Engineering (or similar). While preference is for experience in the recycling industry, candidates with a background in a Heavy Engineering environment who have previously worked on Heavy Machinery or Heavy Equipment will also be considered.

A company van, laptop and phone will be provided.

• A minimum of 3 years' experience as a multi-skilled mechanical engineer.
• Hands-on expertise in welding (Stick & MIG), fabrication, and general engineering.
• Strong technical problem-solving and analytical abilities to reduce equipment downtime.
• A clean driving licence and valid passport, with the flexibility to travel as required.
