Job summary

WES is seeking a Service Engineer to support installation, delivery and maintenance of our water industry products. This field-based role involves electrical, mechanical and control works, including commissioning and fault finding in new and existing MCCs, analysers, motors, and actuators, with travel to site locations.

You will complete installations to company and client standards, diagnose faults, keep drawings and telemetry records updated, and ensure safe, efficient work.

Qualifications

  • Experience in Electrical, Mechanical or Controls Engineering.
  • Experience in fault finding and testing.
  • Knowledge of industry regulations and standards.
  • Water industry experience preferred.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Full UK Driving Licence.

Responsibilities

  • Complete electrical, mechanical and controls installation and commissioning works in line with the Company and client standards and procedures.
  • Diagnose malfunctioning systems, apparatus, and components, using test equipment and hand tools, to locate the cause of a breakdown and correct the problem.
  • Ensure that all drawings and test records and telemetry schedules are marked up/information passed onto project teams.
  • Ensure that all works are completed safely, efficiently and to specification.
  • Maintain key relationships with Project Managers, Site Managers/Teams, Health and Safety Advisors, Support Services, Clients, Contractors and Subcontractors.

What Are We Looking For?

Due to continued growth, WES, part of the RSE Group, is looking to recruit a Service Engineer to support the installation, delivery, and maintenance of our products within the Water industry. You will undertake electrical, mechanical and control works, including commissioning and fault finding within new and existing MCC's, analysers, motors, actuators, and various other equipment. Please note that this position is field based and there is a requirement of travel involved within this due to site locations.

Some of Your Key Duties Include:
  • Completing electrical, mechanical and controls installation and commissioning works in line with the Company and client standards and procedures.
  • Diagnose malfunctioning systems, apparatus, and components, using test equipment and hand tools, to locate the cause of a breakdown and correct the problem
  • Ensure all drawings and test records and telemetry schedules are marked up/information passed onto project teams.

What Do You Need?
  • Experience within an Electrical, Mechanical or Controls Engineering position.

  • Water industry experience would be highly advantageous however other industries will also be considered.
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
  • Full UK Driving Licence
