Job summary

Rise Technical Recruitment is seeking a Field Service Engineer based in the Highlands with travel across the UK and Ireland. The role involves onsite maintenance, fault finding on biomass steam boilers, and customer-facing support for a large manufacturing group.

The ideal candidate has mechanical/electrical engineering background and field service experience, with willingness to stay away as required. There will be some travel to client sites across Northern Scotland and beyond.

Field Service Engineer

Based in and reporting into a site in Northern Scotland but will possible travel across UK and Ireland

Circa £40,000 plus vehicle plus benefits

Monday to Friday 8am to 5pm

Are you an engineer from a field service or maintenance background looking for a hands on customer facing role with a large manufacturing group.

The role will be reporting into a site based in the Highlands. There is potential travel across the UK and Ireland but most will be focused on Northern Scotland.

The role will be to provide onsite maintenance engineering support to clients including planned Maintenance and servicing alongside breakdown response.

There will be some stay aways and call out required.

The Role

• Full time, permanent, client facing engineering position involving travel to client sites
• Fault finding and troubleshooting of industrial biomass steam boilers
• Planned maintenance and servicing work
• Travel across Northern Scotland and occasionally other parts of the UK and Ireland

The Person

• Academic and working background within mechanical and/or electrical engineering
• Working background within field service
• Experience in a customer facing role and willing to travel/stay away
• Any knowledge of boiler servicing or biomass systems preferred.
