Job Overview

We are looking for an experienced multi-skilled packaging machinery Service Engineer or Factory Maintenance Engineer who enjoys traveling and working away in the UK and Ireland. This role is part of a dynamic team that will help strengthen our service offering.

Salary & Benefits

BASIC SALARY: up to £48,000

• Overtime and Annual Bonus to earn circa £65,000

Location & Travel

Location: Home based, primarily covering the UK & Ireland with occasional worldwide travel; residents of the UK are welcome, with the Midlands and North ideal.

Commutable Locations: London, Manchester, Birmingham, Leeds, Hull, Nottingham, Peterborough

Job Description

This is a classic Field Service Engineer role involving the installation and commissioning of new machinery, as well as planned maintenance of existing machinery and turnkey lines in pharmaceutical manufacturing sites.

Responsibilities

• Install and commission new packaging machinery.
• Perform scheduled and ad‑hoc maintenance on existing machinery.
• Service turnkey lines in pharmaceutical manufacturing facilities.
• Travel extensively across the UK, Ireland, and occasionally worldwide.

Qualifications

• Experienced multi-skilled Field Service Engineer or Factory Maintenance Engineer with a proven track record of servicing packaging machinery.
• Qualified Electrical AND Mechanical Engineer with completed full apprenticeship.
• Familiar with PLCs.
• Experience in the pharmaceutical sector is advantageous but not essential.
• Willing to spend most of your time travelling and staying away from home.
