Service Engineer

Location: Gainsborough (must live within commutable distance)

Salary: Negotiable DOE £30-£35K PA + Company Vehicle + Great Perks

Are you a hands-on problem solver who loves variety, autonomy, and fixing things properly the first time? We're on the hunt for a Service Engineer to join a dynamic, fast-paced engineering company in Gainsborough - someone who's just as comfortable turning a spanner as they are reading a schematic!

As our new Service Engineer, you'll hit the ground running - collecting jobs, parts, and tooling directly from our Gainsborough base before heading out to tackle breakdowns, carry out planned maintenance, and install equipment with confidence and a can-do attitude.

What You'll Be Doing:

• Acting as a Service Engineer on the road - solving issues on customer sites across the region
• Working on a mix of mechanical and electrical tasks (roughly 70/30 split)
• Repairing and maintaining electric motors, generators, gearboxes, and rotating equipment
• Using your skills on manual lathes, millers, grinders - and the occasional bit of CNC
• HV/LV testing, diagnostics, and retrofitting where needed
• Being the friendly, technically sharp face of the business out in the field

What We're Looking For:

• A multi-skilled engineer with strong mechanical bias (but can handle electrics too!)
• Proven experience in industrial maintenance or service engineering
• Comfortable working solo and managing your own workload
• Full UK driving licence is a must
• Lives within commuting distance of Gainsborough - you'll start your day from our site
• Bonus if you've got your forklift, overhead crane, or safety certs
