Service Engineer (Field Based)

Dorset & Hampshire | Full-Time

We are currently recruiting a Service Engineer to support customers across the Dorset and Hampshire region. This is a field-based role suited to a practical, customer-focused engineer who enjoys fault-finding, problem-solving and working independently.

You will be responsible for the installation, maintenance and repair of equipment at customer sites, ensuring a high standard of service and minimal downtime.

Key Responsibilities
  • Carry out field-based service, maintenance and repair of electro‑mechanical and/or electronic equipment
  • Diagnose faults and complete repairs efficiently on customer sites
  • Undertake installation and commissioning of equipment where required
  • Provide a professional, customer-focused service at all times
  • Accurately complete service reports and documentation
  • Work in line with health & safety procedures and company standards
  • Liaise with technical and operations teams to resolve issues effectively
About You
  • Previous experience in a field-based Service Engineer role
  • Strong fault-finding and diagnostic skills
  • Confident working independently and managing your own workload
  • Comfortable in a customer-facing environment
  • Basic IT skills (reporting, job management systems, email)
  • Full UK driving licence
Desirable:
  • Electrical or mechanical qualifications
  • Experience working with electronic, automated or technical equipment
  • Background in installation, service or maintenance environments
