This business specialises in bespoke heating, ventilation, and air conditioning systems for large-scale industrial and commercial environments. They design, install, commission, and maintain tailored climate control solutions across the UK.

Overview

This business are looking for an experienced and dependable Service Engineer to join their national team. The successful candidate will bring a strong background in commercial HVAC systems, with hands‑on experience servicing, maintaining, and commissioning large‑scale equipment. This is a field-based role requiring regular travel across the UK and offers the opportunity to work with industry-leading climate control systems.

Key Responsibilities
  • Servicing, maintaining, and fault‑finding on a wide range of commercial HVAC systems, including AHUs, chillers, ASHPs, humidifiers, and dehumidifiers.
  • Working with large‑scale units (typically 100kW+ chillers and heat pumps).
  • Supporting commissioning activities and ensuring systems are running efficiently and safely.
  • Performing routine inspections, planned maintenance, and reactive repairs to minimise downtime.
  • Producing detailed service reports and maintaining accurate documentation.
  • Collaborating with clients and internal teams to ensure project requirements are met to the highest standards.
  • Travelling extensively across the UK (typically 3-4 hours per day; occasional longer days).
  • Providing technical support and guidance to colleagues and clients.
  • Undertaking overtime as required to meet operational needs.
Requirements
  • Commercial Gas Safe qualification (essential).
  • F‑Gas certification (essential).
  • City & Guilds Level 2 and 3 in Air Conditioning & Refrigeration (preferred).
  • Significant number of years of relevant HVAC engineering experience.
  • Strong background in service, maintenance, and repair of large‑scale commercial systems (100kW+).
  • Commissioning experience desirable.
  • Consistent employment history demonstrating reliability and commitment.
  • Full UK driving licence.
  • Willingness to travel nationwide and work flexible hours when required.
