Job description
Overview

A Service Engineer role paying £30,500 with overtime paid at 1.5x. Benefits include a van, fuel card, laptop, mobile phone, private medical insurance, and full training. Working hours are 8am–5pm (Monday to Thursday with an early finish on Friday). Location: Aylesbury. A van is provided for the role as occasional breakdowns would need to be attended to. This is with a large blue-chip multinational company recruiting to work on site at a customer’s manufacturing facility. Full training is given to inspect, repair and provide preventative maintenance to compressors, blowers and pumping systems on vehicles.

Responsibilities
  • Provide after-sales product support.
  • Repair equipment and vehicles at depot or on-site as required to ensure conformance with manufacturer specifications and company policy.
  • Complete planned maintenance activities and maintain the fleet to corporate standards.
  • Act as an ambassador for the company, delivering high standard of customer care and relaying customer queries to staff as required.
  • Accurately complete all relevant paperwork including reports, inspections, calibration checks and job sheets.
  • Carry out mechanical maintenance, testing and repair of hydraulic and pneumatic systems, pumps, compressors, motors and ancillary equipment; able to read schematic drawings.
  • Provide diagnostic analysis, repairs or preventative maintenance; knowledge of hydraulics and pneumatics; breakdown assistance at depot and off-site at vehicle location.
  • Other responsibilities include onboard vehicle smart system maintenance, vessel integrity, light body repairs and general vehicle repair.
Qualifications / Experience
  • Experience in roles such as HGV Fitter, Plant Fitter, Hydraulic Fitter, Vehicle Technician, Aircraft Engineer, Mechanical Fitter, Compressor Engineer, HGV Technician, water treatment and pump backgrounds are welcomed.
  • Ability to read schematic drawings and perform maintenance on hydraulic and pneumatic systems.
