Job Summary:

As the Service Dispatch Operative, you will be the first point of contact for visitors and customers entering the service area. You will handle in-person enquiries, manage incoming and outgoing customer units, and support service technicians. This customer-facing role combines administrative duties with coordination responsibilities to ensure the smooth operation of daily service activities.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Receives and books-in goods ensuring they have arrived with corresponding serial numbers and correct quantities.
  • Dispatches goods from corresponding delivery note in an accurate manner.
  • Locates goods in an accurate manner in accordance with the specified default locations.
  • Ensures that the correct level of materials is available for packing equipment.
  • Clean units awaiting servicing
  • Other such additional or alternative tasks that may from time to time be reasonably required.
  • Ability to support the Operations department with other functions as they arrive

Experience, Knowledge, Skills, Abilities, Education

  • Previous experience in a material control, dispatch, or customer-facing role.
  • Familiarity with managing incoming and outgoing equipment, stores stock.
  • Strong communication skills.
  • Ability to handle multiple tasks and prioritize workload effectively
  • Basic administrative experience.
  • Experience working in a fast-paced environment, maintaining professionalism under pressure.
  • Good computing skills.
  • Managing workload
  • Experience using IFS system (would be an advantage)

Travel & Working Environment

  • Factory environment, Monday – Friday (Bristol)
  • Working Hours
    • 8am to 4pm Mon – Thursday
    • 8am to 3.30pm Fridays
  • The position may require working occasionally outside normal work hours
  • No travel
