Job summary

Asda is hiring a Service Colleague (Express) in Hedge End for 36 hours a week on a permanent basis, with afternoons shifts and a pay rate of £13.10 per hour. The role covers multiple departments within our Express format to keep our stores running smoothly and to deliver great service to customers.

You’ll be friendly, eager to learn, and flexible to work late or weekends; you’ll assist at checkouts, help with fresh foods, and support Home Delivery/Clicks & Collect.

Qualifications

• You’re naturally friendly, enthusiastic, and ready to get stuck in.
• Willing to learn new skills across different departments and help customers find what they need.
• Able to work flexible shifts including late and weekend work.

Responsibilities

• Serve customers at the checkouts and across multiple departments.
• Prepare fresh pizzas, restock shelves and assist with in-store tasks as needed.
• Assist with home delivery orders and ensure smooth store operations.

As a Service Colleague, you’ll work across multiple departments to help keep our stores running smoothly. Every day could be different—whether you're serving customers at the checkouts, preparing fresh pizzas, picking orders for home delivery, or restocking shelves. Our customers are at the heart of everything we do, and we take pride in offering excellent service, welcoming stores, and ‘extra special’ products.
We work together as one team to drive sales and deliver a great online and in-store shopping experience.

About You

You’re naturally friendly, enthusiastic, and ready to get stuck in. You’ll enjoy learning new skills across different departments and love helping customers find what they need—maybe even having a friendly chat along the way.
