Job summary

CBSbutler Ltd. is seeking an experienced Service Architect to join a high-profile Ministry of Defence programme in Basingstoke on a long-term, on-site contract.

The role focuses on designing secure, resilient, and supportable service architectures, working with technical and service-management teams. DV clearance is mandatory; daily rate is £700-£750; outside IR35 and an 18-month+ contract are expected.

Qualifications

• Proven experience as a Service Architect in complex enterprise or government environments.
• Strong understanding of IT service design and service management principles.
• Experience working on secure or defence-related programmes.
• Ability to engage with senior stakeholders and translate business requirements into effective service solutions.
• Excellent documentation and communication skills.
• Active DV clearance is mandatory.

Responsibilities

• Design and develop end-to-end service architecture aligned with business and technical requirements.
• Produce service designs that meet operational, security, and supportability standards.
• Work closely with technical architects, engineering teams, service management, and stakeholders.
