Provides on‑site and remote technical support to installers and customers. Performs field startup and system commissioning tasks as well as the remote installation of software and control programs.

Responsibilities
  • Creates programming logic through multiple communications protocols.
  • Provide coaching and training to Team Members in the use of the control software and analytical tools where applicable.
  • Required to perform job‑site system checkout, commissioning and testing of control applications, to verify proper operation according to project specifications, sales proposal and design documentation. Up to 50% travel (25% travel expected).
  • Programs control applications using various software tools to support operator workstations, DDC field panels and third‑party integration devices connected through multiple communications protocols.
  • Provides remote technical support to installers and customers. May be asked to provide on‑site technical support to installers and customers.
  • Articulates resolution to a customer's problem clearly both in verbal and written communication. The resolutions must be explained to the customer in a format that is understandable to the customer. Facilitates resolutions that are in the best interest of the customer and ESI.
  • Develops system graphic displays, according to project specifications or sales proposal.
Qualifications
  • Experience in HVAC controls, mechanical systems application, or design.
  • Proficient in Niagara.
  • Proficient in cloud tools like Azure ML and DF, and AWS.
  • Must know programming languages such as R and Python.
  • Experience in HVAC, automation system control, mechanical and automatic control applications, or a minimum of four years' experience in a related technical field plus two years of experience in the trades and/or mechanical contracting field, or application programming and development.
  • Must have worked with Tridium Niagara, understands Protocols, Bacnet Router Tables, and has worked with IDF.
  • Knowledge of spreadsheets and database management; Proficiency in Microsoft Excel.
