The ideal candidate will possess a full UK Driving Licence and have previous fire alarm experience. Responsibilities include ensuring compliance with British Standards in fire safety services while providing excellent customer service.

Job description

About the Role

We are looking for an experienced service and maintenance engineer to join us on a permanent basis to support with scheduled upgrades, installs and repairs on fire alarm systems for our prestigious clients in and around the London area. The ideal person will have a flexible approach to work, who can, on occasion, participate in an out of hours call out rota. A full UK Driving Licence is required along with previous Fire Alarm Experience and knowledge of analogue addressable and conventional fire alarm systems.

Responsibilities
  • Pursue ‘Great, not Good’ in fire safety services
  • Be accountable for the quality system as well as providing excellent customer service
  • Service, maintain and install fire alarm systems (BS5839-1) in accordance with the relevant British Standards
  • Accurately complete engineer service reports
  • Report deficiencies or deviations in fire systems
  • Conduct regular van stock checks and liaise with the procurement department to keep replenished and appropriately stocked
  • Have a Health & Safety mindset, looking at possible risks associated with the role and reporting any issues promptly
  • Complete a first fix where possible
Qualifications

FIA training (or equivalent) to BS5839-1 Fundamentals.

Pay range and compensation package

The role is full-time, and we are offering a competitive salary. This position will be based in the London Area with travel required to attend different sites. A full UK Driving Licence will be essential, and a company vehicle and fuel card will be provided.
