Digital, Data and Technology Team, or DDaT as it's also known is led by Steven Fry, Director of Digital and Customer Services - Steve has been voted one of the top 100 Chief Information Officers (CIO) within the UK. The DDaT function has won numerous awards over the past five years, including Digital Leaders 'Digital Council Of the Year' and 'Overall Digital Leaders 100 Winners' in 2019 and 2023. We have also won awards for having the 'Best Digital Pandemic Response in the UK' and more recently the 'Best Digital Public Service Innovation Of The Year'.
Our team enables and supports all parts of the council as well as partner organisations. We also work regionally with the Greater Manchester Combined Authority (GMCA) and nationally with the Local Government Association (LGA) and other central government bodies.
We leverage the power of digital and data to make the council more efficient and sustainable, with less duplication and waste. We are at the forefront of integrating digital processes and systems empowering all our staff with access, knowledge and opportunity, no matter where they work.
DDaT's portfolio ranges from data analysis and insight to monitoring cyber security and protecting our digital assets, and from leading the development of software and modernisation to providing project management expertise, all whilst ensuring digital inclusion is at the forefront.

This is a pivotal role within our Digital, Data and Technology team, where you’ll be responsible for ensuring our application platforms are robust, user-focused, and aligned with the evolving needs of social care services.
We are looking for a dedicated and enthusiastic individual to join our Adult Social Care and Health Partnerships Portfolio team.
In this role, you will help maintain and support a range of applications, ensuring they run smoothly for our users. You’ll work across different software platforms, assisting with troubleshooting issues, providing solutions, and helping improve processes where needed.
You don’t need to be an expert in everything what matters most is your willingness to learn and your commitment to delivering great support.
