Investigation and Enforcement Services (IES) directorate aims to deliver and promote a range of investigation and enforcement activities, both civil and criminal in nature, to support fair and open markets. We do this by effectively enforcing the statutory company and insolvency regimes, maintaining public confidence in those regimes, and reducing the harm caused to victims of fraudulent activity and to the business community.
This is an exciting opportunity to join the Insolvency Service (INSS) as an experienced senior intelligence analyst to help deliver our aim to tackle financial wrongdoing. There are opportunities to work in locations across England, Wales, and Scotland, delivering analytical support to assist in meeting our three core objectives to: tackle economic crime facilitated through companies, enforce the UK’s insolvency framework and enforce the Companies Acts and associated legislation.
The post will sit within the analytical cadre of the intelligence team, part of the Investigation and Enforcement Directorate of the Insolvency Service.
As a senior Intelligence Analyst, you are required to shape the direction of analysis within the Insolvency Service and support the development of the INSS analytical function.
The post holder will contribute to the National Control Strategy and strategic threat assessment; working alongside key stakeholders to ensure the products drive business and aid in tackling economic crime, enforce the UK’s insolvency framework, the Companies Acts and associated legislation. The post holder will be required to produce ad hoc taskings as needed.
The post holder will champion and lead on the use of structured analytical techniques to enhance understanding of the threats.
The role requires management of both operational and tactical/strategic analysts. This will include engaging with stakeholders both internally and externally to negotiate taskings, providing quality assurance and the responsibility to sign off analytical products produced by the team.
The post holder is required to attend key meetings to support the G7, where necessary and brief key stakeholders on analytical products produced by the team.
The role involves interacting with a wide range of government, law enforcement, UK intelligence community, private and third sector partners to meet business objectives. You will help drive, enhance and improve analytical functions within the business, identifying and promoting good practice in analysis.
