Job summary

Charle Agency is hiring an SEO Content Executive to drive client SEO roadmaps for ambitious Shopify brands. You’ll own day-to-day execution, including on-page optimisation, content briefs, and channel monitoring, delivering high quality work under the Senior SEO Strategist.

You’ll also support GEO and AI search initiatives, helping clients appear in AI answers and related surfaces, while collaborating with the wider team to boost visibility and revenue for ecommerce stores.

Qualifications

• 2 years of SEO experience in a digital agency or ecommerce setting.
• Strong execution across on-page and content optimisation.
• Familiarity with Google Search Console, GA4, Ahrefs (or SEMrush/Sistrix), and Screaming Frog.
• Solid grasp of technical SEO fundamentals: crawling, indexing, schema, page speed.
• Curiosity about AI reshaping search and development of GEO skills.
• Ability to take direction and deliver without close supervision.

Responsibilities

• End-to-end delivery of client SEO roadmaps, including content rollouts.
• Executing on-page optimisation across product, collection, and blog pages on Shopify.
• Conducting keyword research, SERP analysis, and competitor gap analysis.
• Monitoring performance with Google Search Console, GA4, Peec AI, and Ahrefs; turning data into actions.
• Coordinating with development and design to keep the SEO engine moving.
• Reporting back to the Senior SEO Strategist and clients on performance and next steps.
• Own day-to-day technical health across client portfolios: crawl issues, redirects, schema, page speed.
• Work with Shopify developers to ship technical SEO improvements.
• Support SEO migrations alongside the wider team when clients replatform or relaunch.
• Maintain technical SEO documentation per client account.

The role

We're hiring an SEO Content Executive to help deliver Charle's client SEO roadmaps.

This is primarily an SEO execution role. You will own the day-to-day running of our client SEO roadmaps, including on-page work, content briefs, and channel monitoring, making sure everything ships on time and to a high standard. SEO strategy is owned by the Senior SEO Strategist. Your job is to take that direction and run it.

Alongside classic SEO, you'll support our GEO (Generative Engine Optimisation) work, helping clients show up inside AI answers from ChatGPT, Perplexity, Gemini, and Google AI Overviews. The two disciplines feed each other directly, and you'll get hands-on with both.

This role sits at the intersection of technical SEO, content optimisation, and AI search. You will work closely with the Senior SEO Strategist and wider team to make Charle's clients some of the most visible Shopify brands in their categories.

What you will own

SEO execution (primary focus)

The Senior SEO Strategist sets the direction. You make it happen. The remit covers:

• End-to-end delivery of client SEO roadmaps, including content rollouts
• Executing on-page optimisation across product pages, collection pages, and blog content on Shopify
• Conducting keyword research, SERP analysis, and competitor gap analysis to shape content roadmaps
• Monitoring performance across Google Search Console, GA4, Peec AI, and Ahrefs, and turning data into clear actions
• Coordinating with internal contributors (development and design) to keep the SEO engine moving
• Reporting back to the Senior SEO Strategist and clients on what's working, what isn't, and what to do about it

Technical SEO and Shopify

• Own day-to-day technical health across your client portfolio — crawl issues, redirects, schema, page speed
• Work with our Shopify developers to ship technical SEO improvements cleanly into live stores
• Support with SEO migrations alongside the wider team when clients replatform, restructure, or relaunch
• Maintain technical SEO documentation so every client account has a clear, current picture of where it stands

GEO and AI Search

• Support GEO delivery across the client portfolio — structured content, entity coverage, schema, citation optimisation
• Track brand visibility across AI engines (ChatGPT, Perplexity, Gemini, AI Overviews) using Peec AI
• Bring AI search intelligence back into client accounts — what's changing, what's working, and what to do about it

Who we are looking for

• 2 years of SEO experience within a digital agency or ecommerce environment
• Strong execution skills across on-page and content optimisation
• Confident with Google Search Console, GA4, Ahrefs (or SEMrush/Sistrix), and Screaming Frog
• Solid grasp of technical SEO fundamentals: crawling, indexing, site architecture, schema, page speed
• Familiarity with the Shopify ecosystem, or a strong appetite to get deep into it fast
• Curious about how AI is reshaping search and keen to develop your GEO skill set
• Organised and self-directed — able to take direction from the Senior SEO Strategist and turn it into delivery without close supervision
• Commercially aware — understands that SEO exists to drive pipeline and revenue, not vanity rankings
• Comfortable in a fast-growing, ambitious agency environment
