Job summary

A leading asset management company is seeking a Sentinel Architect for a contract role based in Manchester. You will design and deploy a Microsoft Sentinel environment, optimize for performance and cost, and integrate with existing security tools. Ideal candidates will have extensive experience with SIEM solutions, KQL, and Azure services. This role offers an opportunity to enhance security monitoring frameworks while contributing to crucial projects within the team.

Qualifications

• Proven experience in Microsoft Sentinel deployment and configuration in enterprise environments.
• Strong understanding of SIEM concepts, log ingestion, and security monitoring use cases.
• Hands-on experience with KQL for creating queries, analytics rules, and dashboards.
• Familiarity with Azure services and security integration.
• Ability to work independently and deliver within tight timelines.
• Excellent communication and documentation skills.
• Experience designing Sentinel architecture from scratch.
• Familiarity with onboarding multiple log sources.
• Experience with SOAR automation and playbook development.
• Exposure to cloud security monitoring across Azure, AWS, or GCP.

Responsibilities

• Design, build, and implement a Microsoft Sentinel deployment.
• Develop and configure data connectors, workbooks, and analytics rules.
• Integrate Sentinel with existing security tools.
• Define and implement alerting, dashboards, and reporting.
• Document deployment architecture and configurations.
• Provide knowledge transfer and training to internal teams.
