Job summary

Newton Colmore Consulting in Cambridge is seeking an experienced Engineering Physicist to join a new team and work on cutting-edge sensor technologies for harsh environments. You will design, fabricate and test electronic sensing modules, and lead measurement, analysis and integration into larger oil and gas sensor systems.

The role emphasizes hands-on R&D, signal processing and electronics expertise, with exposure to MEMS and high-temperature electronics design.

Qualifications

• Degree in electronics, physics or related field.
• Hands-on R&D experience with sensors.
• Experience with MEMS, signal processing and low-noise, precision electronics design.
• Exposure to high temperature electronics design.

Responsibilities

• Design, fabricate and test electronic modules for sensing in harsh environments.
• Measure and analyze devices and integrate modules into larger oil and gas sensors.
• Develop demonstrations and contribute to field deployment; lead development of the technology using signal processing and electronics.
