Job description

We’re looking for a compassionate and motivational Senior Support Worker to join our three‑bed children’s home in Bicester (OX26). Parker House offers up to three children or young people of any gender, aged 10 to 18, in a nurturing, smaller‑scale environment that supports those who may struggle in larger group settings. As a Residential Youth Support Worker you will be part of a close‑knit team dedicated to providing stability, guidance and support for vulnerable young people, empowering them to overcome challenges in a trauma‑informed setting.

What You’ll Do
  • Build positive, nurturing relationships with young people, helping them navigate complex emotions and behaviours.
  • Assist with daily routines, medication administration and ensure the well‑being of each young person.
  • Organise and participate in recreational activities that foster a supportive atmosphere and promote healing.
  • Work closely with a multidisciplinary team, including healthcare professionals, to ensure holistic care and the best outcomes for the young people you support.
Passion for Helping Others

Compassion, patience and a genuine desire to make a difference in young people’s lives are essential. We value your willingness to learn and grow alongside experience in providing emotional and behavioural support.

Experience & Flexibility

Previous experience in emotional or behavioural support is highly desirable, but a keenness to learn and adapt is equally important. Flexible working, including evenings and weekends, is required to meet the needs of the home.
