Fawkes & Reece London is recruiting an experienced Permanent Working Supervisor / Ganger to lead gangs on water-main and civil projects along the M4 Corridor. You will supervise the workforce daily, coordinate plant and materials, set out works, read drawings, and ensure delivery to safety and quality standards.

The ideal candidate has strong water/civils background, excavation safety expertise, and the ability to lead and communicate effectively with site teams and clients.

Formación

• Proven experience as a Working Supervisor, Ganger, Site Supervisor or similar within water/civils.
• Strong experience supervising water-main installation and deep excavation works.
• Good knowledge of excavation safety, temporary works and shoring systems.
• Experience reading drawings and setting-out information.
• Strong health & safety and quality focus.
• Ability to lead and motivate a workforce and coordinate site activities.

Responsabilidades

• Supervise and coordinate gangs on water-main and civil projects.
• Plan daily activities, labour, plant and materials.
• Supervise deep excavations, shoring, pipe installation and backfilling.
• Set out pipe routes, chamber positions, levels and gradients.
• Read and interpret civil, structural, mechanical and pipework drawings.
• Manage permits to dig and ensure service locating and trial-hole procedures.
• Ensure excavations are safely supported, accessed and inspected.
• Coordinate lifting operations and ensure approved lift plans are followed.
• Deliver daily briefings and toolbox talks.
• Maintain site diaries and inspection records and liaise with client representatives.

Confined Space training
