Job summary

Nordex SE in Inverness is seeking a Senior Lead Technician to join our wind farm service team. This permanent role requires you to oversee complex turbine repairs, supervise local teams, and manage subcontractors on site from our Inverness service point, with overtime as needed.

You will be qualified to at least Level 3 (HNC/ONC) and have STTM 1 & 2, with experience in leading teams and strong communication skills, supporting maintenance and site operations across projects.

Qualifications

• Qualified to at least Level 3 (HNC/ONC) and STTM 1 & 2.
• Experience leading and supervising a team.
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Analyse defects on WTGs and communicate with LOM/Tech Ops.
• Autonomously perform complex turbine repairs.
• Carry out planned maintenance and inspection activities.
• Prepare reports and checklists to inform the LOM of site activities.
• Document and complete snag lists from maintenances.
• Train new technicians in the area.
• Liaise with clients and site management.
• Project manage large works and prioritise to minimise downtime/costs.
• Supervise local teams and vehicles; manage subcontractors on site.
