Job summary

KWS UK Ltd. in Thriplow is seeking an experienced Sr. Station Technician UK to lead wheat yield trials and contribute to the UK Trials team. You will manage trial operations, prepare data for stakeholders, and collaborate across crop teams.

The role requires strong wheat agronomy knowledge, a minimum of three years in agricultural trials, and the ability to supervise staff. A UK driving license and PA1/PA11 licenses are desirable. Visa eligibility is required.

Qualifications

At least three years of experience within agricultural trials.
Experience with wheat agronomy and crop operations.
Ability to supervise small teams and manage resources.

Responsibilities

Lead the successful management of all KWS UK wheat yield trials.
Ensure timely delivery of accurate, high-quality data to stakeholders.
Support trials across other crop species as part of the UK Trials team.
Plan and execute all trial operations: placement, seed prep, drilling, field book prep, pest control, trait scoring, harvest prep, data processing.
Assess resource requirements for wheat trials and secure necessary resources.
Communicate effectively with internal and external stakeholders.
Supervise and support teams of seasonal staff.
Contribute to trials for other crops including seed prep, planting, scoring, harvesting.
Ensure all operations comply with Health & Safety procedures.
