Job summary

Merton Council is seeking motivated RYA Senior Instructors to join the Wimbledon Park Watersports Centre senior team. You will lead paddlesport sessions, contribute to holiday courses, and support both staff and volunteers in a busy watersports environment.

Roles require flexibility with 35 contracted hours per week, including weekends, evenings and bank holidays. Essential qualifications include RYA Senior Instructor (dinghy) and paddlesports coaching experience.

Qualifications

• RYA Senior Instructor (dinghy) required.
• Paddlesports experience; qualified instructor, experienced paddling, or willingness to learn.
• Excellent communications skills.
• Experience coaching adults and children including those with additional needs.

Responsibilities

• Deliver high quality paddlesport sessions across activities (taster paddlesport sessions, holiday courses, sailing/powerboat courses).
• Support the WPWC senior team in managing and running the centre day-to-day.
• Assist in maintaining centre facilities and equipment.
• Support development of staff and volunteers.
• Act as instructor in charge (deputised when offsite) and as a keyholder.
