Job summary

AtkinsRéalis is seeking a Principal/Associate Director to lead wastewater hydraulic modelling, deliver catchment strategies, and supervise a talented team in the UK. The role requires strong knowledge of InfoWorks ICM and ICM Exchange, and proven delivery on complex hydraulics projects.

You will work within a multidisciplinary team, supporting tender responses, fee estimates, and staff development while navigating regulatory frameworks and client expectations across Bristol/Cardiff and the UK.

Qualifications

• Understand UK Water Industry regulatory issues.
• Proven track record delivering technically excellent projects.
• Expertise using InfoWorks ICM and ICM Exchange.
• Hydraulic modelling, catchment planning and solution development.
• Ability to review work for quality assurance and client delivery.
• Excellent collaboration and communication skills.
• Experience with MS 365, PowerBI, SharePoint.
• Experience with FME, Optimatics, Ruby advantageous.
• Relevant degree or vocational qualification.

Responsibilities

• Lead Storm Overflows Discharge Reduction Plan and related projects.
• Lead model build, maintenance and verification.
• Develop and deliver wastewater catchment strategies.
• Ensure quality outputs meet standards and specs.
• Drive continuous improvement in project delivery.
• Support project managers on projects/programmes of works.
• Mentor and develop staff; guide professional growth.
• Contribute to technical innovation and improvement workgroups.
