We are seeking a detail-oriented and proactive Senior Warehouse Operators to join our East Midlands Gateway (Derby) site for our new contract Tails. In this role, you will oversee outbound processes, from packing through to the dispatch of customer orders. As a Senior Operative, you will work closely with suppliers and internal teams to support efficient warehouse operations while maintaining high standards of inventory control and safety.

This is a full-time, permanent role, working Monday to Friday on rotating shifts: 06:00–14:00 / 14:00–22:00.

What you’ll do on a typical day:
  • Oversee operational efficiency and productivity within the packing area, ensuring smooth day-to-day running
  • Act as the primary point of contact for troubleshooting and resolving issues that arise during operation
  • Support the review and updating of departmental SOPs, Risk Assessments, and Training processes
  • Support the senior leadership team in delivering new contract business implementations and value-adding opportunities
What you need to succeed at GXO:

  • Understanding of warehouse practices including safe working practices
  • PC literate with experience working on a Warehouse Management System (WMS)
