Job summary

Boots UK is recruiting a Departmental Manager in Nottingham (Beeston) to lead a large operational team across two shifts. You will focus on customer service excellence while driving efficiency and continuous improvement through smarter workflows and automation.

You will manage up to 1,000 colleagues (including agency staff), deliver performance reviews, control budgets, and collaborate with other managers to optimise warehouse operations, stock availability and service levels.

Qualifications

• Experience managing and motivating a large operational team.
• Knowledge of Supply Chain and warehouse processes.
• Strong communication skills at all levels.
• Ability to interpret high-level data and drive improvements.

Responsibilities

• Lead a large team daily, ensuring customer service is central.
• Drive operational efficiency and waste reduction through automation.
• Oversee up to 1,000 colleagues across two shifts.
• Manage performance, absence and budgets across Boots and agency staff.
• Implement short and medium operational plans and safety/shrink agendas.
