Job description

Muc-Off was founded in 1994 and is now the leading supplier of specialist cycling cleaning and maintenance products in the UK. Following five years of explosive growth, the company is expanding rapidly into European, Asian and North American markets, focusing on its core categories of cycling, motorcycle and athlete performance products.

Why Muc-Off?

This is a great time to be part of a rapidly growing, truly innovative British business as we embark on new territories and sectors, whilst growing our brand presence across core bicycle and powersports markets. In our results-driven culture, the rewards and career development opportunities are second to none.

Background

As part of Muc-Off's Content Team, we are looking for a Senior Videographer.

The role involves working with our sponsored athletes, distributors and in-house team to create engaging videos for our media platforms across a wide range of sectors, including documentaries, product advertisements, how-to videos and short features. You will need a valid passport and the ability to travel worldwide on a regular basis.

The role requires you to take briefs from creative inception through to production and execution, delivering content for new product launches, athletes and marketing campaigns.

This is a lead videographer role, so you will need the ability to manage shoots simultaneously, book locations and see storyboards through from initial collaboration with the Head of Content to the finished piece.

What We're Looking For

With a university degree or equivalent experience and excellent knowledge of editing software, you must be talented, creative, easy to work with and prepared to go the extra mile. We are looking for a superb all-rounder with experience in all aspects of production, from pre-production paperwork and filming/directing through to editing the final video.

You will be able to quickly take ideas from creative concept through pre-production to final video, with a flair for more than one genre of video. You'll always be looking for ways to improve your work and bring fresh, exciting ideas into your productions.

We are looking for someone who draws inspiration from all creative disciplines, with an avid passion for extreme sports thrown into the mix. You'll be able to clearly communicate your ideas to your team and the wider business, sharing your influences and inspiration to encourage the development of the brand.

With a can-do attitude and a personal passion for all things video, you will be able to hit the ground running in this fast-paced team. You will need to be well-organised, able to prioritise tasks and manage projects effectively to get the job done.

Must-Haves
  • Excellent knowledge of current editing applications, including Adobe Premiere Pro or DaVinci Resolve.
  • A good eye for detail when looking through the lens.
  • Excellent organisational skills.
  • The ability to direct a shoot in challenging situations.
  • A strong understanding of the entire production process from start to finish.
  • The ability to create high-quality video content.
  • Ability to capture still photography.
  • The ability to develop digital assets for web and social media platforms.
  • A personable attitude when working alongside professional sports teams and athletes.
  • A commitment to treating every production, big or small, with high production values and creativity.
  • A keen eye for new ideas and creative inspiration.
  • The ability to communicate ideas and plans to colleagues and the wider team.
  • Excellent attention to detail.
  • The ability to work to briefs and deadlines.
  • Strong project management skills to keep on top of your workload.
  • Knowledge and understanding of bicycle and/or motorcycle sports.
  • High proficiency in Adobe editing applications or DaVinci Resolve.
  • Ability to film high-end video content.
  • Full UK driving licence (motorcycle licence is a bonus).
  • Confidence to make suggestions and identify opportunities for improvement.
