Are you wanting a step up or to step into a Senior Vet position with an engaged and progressive team? This role gives you the opportunity to experience leadership within our group as Temporary Clinical lead – whilst your role as Senior Veterinary Surgeon is permanent. This really gives you the opportunity to fully embrace what leadership is like, clear in the knowledge that you will return to the Senior Veterinary Surgeon.
At IVC Evidensia, we’re driven by the passion and commitment of our people – across clinical, operational, and support teams. With over 2,500 clinics and hospitals in 20 countries and around 41,000 employees, we work together to care for around 25,000 animals every day. United by a shared purpose – Healthy Animals, Happy Owners – we’re proud to champion long‑term animal health and welfare through the dedication of every individual across our international network.
Our team Rowe Yate are looking for an experienced, caring and clinically passionate veterinary professional to join their team to continue the excellent patient care we provide for sick pets. We are looking for a senior vet with at least 4 years general practice experience behind them. You will delight and be confident with both surgery and medicine – holding a recognised certificate will be a great advantage in this role.
Our Yate practice is not your standard GP practice, we have ultrasound, x‑ray imaging and dental equipment. The practice does general surgery at a high level and, in general, will refer very little from a normal general practice workload. Often those cases that are referred are referred to our team within the Rowe Referrals Hospital who are happy to have you follow your case through.
You will work alongside a team of 9 vets, of which some hold or are working towards their advanced practitioner status. A large passionate team of clinical and non‑clinical support from the nurses, care assistants and admin team. You will also be joining a much larger team here at Rowe with over 40 first‑opinion vets, 10 referral vets and a significant workforce spanning our 7 sites.
Our full‑time roles work on a 4‑day a week rota with a current commitment where you will work at our ECC hospital alongside two other vets, managing our inpatients and emergency for our group as well as a few other local veterinary practices. This gives you the opportunity to see those cases that are not routine and gain valuable exposure to ECC medicine. The weekend hours are 8 AM‑6 PM on a current 1:9 weekend commitment. Our 4‑day week also includes an early finish, meaning you finish by 4:30 PM once a week, with your other days working 8:30 AM‑7 PM.
We know that flexibility is key, and we want it to work for the right candidate so if you have commitments to work around, please do not hesitate to contact us and our Director of Practice, Martha, will explore how flexible working could work for you.
