Job summary

Government Recruitment Service is seeking a Pharmaceutical Quality Assessor to join the Veterinary Medicines Directorate in the UK. You will assess quality data supporting marketing authorisations and variations, ensuring the safety, quality and efficacy of veterinary medicines.

You will be part of the Quality team, contribute to regulatory science strategy, and collaborate with internal and external stakeholders while upholding ISO 9001/27001 and GDPR requirements.

Qualifications

• Experience assessing pharmaceutical data for regulatory submissions.
• Understanding of ISO 9001 and ISO 27001 standards.
• Knowledge of regulatory requirements for veterinary medicines.
• Ability to work to strict timelines and regulatory deadlines.
• Strong communication and collaboration with internal/external stakeholders.

Responsibilities

• Scientifically assess pharmaceutical data submitted by companies for new marketing authorisations for veterinary medicines.
• Evaluate data for variations to existing authorisations and quality aspects of ATCs for clinical trials.
• Produce written reports forming the quality section of the VMD assessment.
• Peer review assessment reports and communicate findings to decision-making groups.
• Advise applicants on technical aspects of applications and respond to enquiries.
• Develop and maintain knowledge of regulatory guidance and international developments.
• Contribute to training materials and ensure compliance with ISO 9001/27001 and GDPR.
