Job summary

HireIQ in the UK is seeking a VAT Senior Manager to work closely with the VAT Partner and leadership team, handling high-value advisory assignments for a diverse client base including corporates, international businesses and public sector bodies.

The role focuses on mentoring and developing the VAT team, leading business development, managing project scoping and billing, and delivering trusted client relationships while offering a clear route to Director and hybrid working.

Qualifications

• Extensive VAT experience gained within practice, industry or HMRC.
• Current VAT Manager or VAT Senior Manager with strong advisory expertise.
• CTA qualified preferred, although not essential.
• Experience managing a varied portfolio of VAT clients.
• Strong business development and client relationship management skills.
• Experience leading and developing teams.
• Excellent communication, commercial awareness and stakeholder management abilities.

Responsibilities

• Providing VAT advisory services to UK and international clients across a wide range of sectors
• Advising on complex matters including property VAT, international trade, partial exemption and M&A transactions
• Managing a portfolio of clients and building long-term trusted relationships
• Leading business development initiatives and identifying new opportunities for growth
• Managing project scoping, budgets and billing processes
• Representing the VAT team through technical content, webinars and client-facing events
• Mentoring and developing junior team members while supporting wider team growth

About the Job
