Job summary

Barrington James is seeking a senior market access consultant for a specialist firm focused on payer evidence, HTA and reimbursement strategies. You will lead multiple engagements for biopharma and healthcare clients, shaping value narratives and guiding strategy from proposal to delivery.

This hands-on role requires 7+ years in value and market access consulting, strong leadership, and expertise in payer/KOL research, with the ability to manage client relationships and drive business

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree required; advanced degree preferred.
• 7+ years of consulting in value and market access.
• Experience leading multiple engagements, teams and client relationships.
• Strong primary research experience with payers and KOLs.
• Knowledge of payer evidence requirements and European HTA frameworks.
• Proficiency in secondary research and analytical methodologies.
• Experience contributing to proposals, account growth and follow-on work generation.
• Strong stakeholder management, communication, and leadership skills.

Responsibilities

• Lead multiple engagements end-to-end with accountability for delivery, quality and profitability.
• Generate insights and strategic recommendations as a senior SME.
• Lead and develop project teams; oversee timelines, budgets, scope and deliverables.
• Own senior client relationships and proactively identify client needs.
• Lead business development activities, including proposals, scoping and follow-on work generation.
• Conduct and oversee payer/KOL primary research independently.
• Develop payer value narratives and assess pricing, evidence and access scenarios.
• Mentor junior colleagues and support their professional development.
• Lead internal capability-building and practice-development initiatives.
