Job summary

Nexus Life Sciences in Preston is seeking a Validation Officer to join its fast‑paced Quality team. You will deliver validation protocols, manage changes, review data and support regulatory submissions across processes and equipment.

The ideal candidate will have at least 3 years in pharma validation, a science or engineering degree, and a proactive, collaborative approach to ensure GMP compliance and continuous improvement in a dynamic manufacturing setting.

Qualifications

• 3+ years in pharmaceutical manufacturing validation.
• Strong understanding of Quality and Validation principles within GMP environments.
• Ability to interpret technical data and manage priorities under tight timelines.

Responsibilities

• Generating, reviewing and executing validation protocols and reports to support validation activities.
• Managing process and engineering change controls to ensure validated systems remain compliant post‑change.
• Reviewing analytical/method validation data (including chromatography outputs) to support validation decisions.
• Conducting risk impact assessments aligned with ICH Q10 principles (including ICH Q3D).
• Assessing process deviations, root causes and CAPAs from a validation perspective.
• Supporting cleaning validation activities including swab recoveries, clean/dirty hold times.
• Delivering process validation for mixing, filling and re‑validation of existing products.
• Supporting equipment validation and lifecycle management in line with Annex 15.
• Providing validation input for regulatory submissions and NPD/NPI projects.
• Assisting with GMP inspection readiness and cross‑functional validation support.
