Job summary

Senior UX & UI Designer (Maternity Cover)

What will you be doing?
  • User Research: Conduct user research to gain insights into user behaviours, needs, and pain points. Translate findings into actionable design strategies.
  • Information Architecture: Develop and maintain a clear information architecture that optimizes the organization and accessibility of content and features.
  • Wireframing and Prototyping: Create wireframes, interactive prototypes, and user flows to effectively communicate design concepts and interactions.
  • Visual Design: Develop visually stunning, consistent, and responsive user interfaces that align with our brand guidelines and usability principles.
  • Design System Governance: Establish and enforce design system governance principles, ensuring adherence to standards and best practices across all design work.
  • Usability Testing: Plan and conduct usability tests to gather user feedback, identify usability issues, and refine designs accordingly.
  • Collaboration: Work closely with product managers, developers, and other stakeholders to ensure design feasibility and alignment with project goals and timelines.
  • Mentorship: Mentor and provide guidance to junior designers, fostering their growth and skill development.
  • Stay Current: Stay up‑to‑date with the latest design trends, tools, and best practices to continuously improve and innovate in the field.
What about you?
  • Bachelor's degree in Design or HND.
  • 5+ years of experience in UX / UI design.
  • Proficiency in industry‑standard design tools e.g., Figma (preferred), Sketch, XD, etc.
  • Strong understanding of user‑centered design principles and methodologies.
  • Experience with user research techniques, including user interviews, surveys, and usability testing.
  • Proven track record of designing successful digital products or applications.
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills.
  • Ability to work collaboratively in a fast‑paced, agile environment.
  • Portfolio showcasing a range of UX / UI design projects and problem‑solving skills
