Job summary

Burendo, an award-winning consultancy, is seeking a Senior UX Designer to champion users on client projects and shape products that work for people and the business. You’ll lead and support other designers, tackling ambiguous problems with a pragmatic, collaborative approach.

You’ll mentor designers, run workshops, and present design decisions to clients, ensuring outputs align with strategic goals while improving user experiences.

Qualifications

• Portfolio of polished, interactive client work.
• Experience conducting workshops, interviews and observation.
• Strong grasp of interaction patterns and when to bend them.
• Experience turning insights into multiple design options.
• Experience shaping visual identity, content structure and microcopy.
• Experience mentoring designers and leading a small team.
• Ability to present and advise clients, in written, visual or in-person form.

Responsibilities

• Champion users on client projects and shape products that work for people and the business.
• Lead and support other designers on client work and internal initiatives.

The must haves:

• Experience in the public sector and healthcare industry
• Experience working in a technology or consulting company
• Involvement in community building via blogs, talks, meetups, or other means
• Experience building design systems and documenting designs at the right level of detail
